Position: Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager
Location: Lancashire
Salary: £55000 - £75000 per annum

The company client is a widely known household manufacturing business who is actively seeking to appoint an accomplished Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager for their rapidly expanding business based in Lancashire. This is an all-encompassing job with the purpose of managing the end to end supply chain including the following: supply chain, purchasing, 3rd party manufacturing units across Europe, quality control and 3PL management. The successful applicant will also manage a small team and working cross functionally with the other business units in Australia and the USA.
The successful candidate will undertake the following duties:
* Managing the end-to-end supply chain from planning and purchasing through to OTIF delivery.
* Leading and managing the supply chain team.
* Supplier management and purchasing.
* Increase OTIF levels and optimise inventory across the network.
* Helping to set strategic direction for distribution across the UK, and delivering business plan.
* Interfacing with the manufacturing, 3PL and Warehouse.
* Setting the best practice in supply chain.
* Quality control management.
* Continuous improvement regarding systems and potential systems implementation.
Qualifications and knowledge for this role:
* Degree Educated or equivalent
* A strong understanding of Manufacturing/FMCG supply chain with at least 5 years+ FMCG supply chain experience
* Line management experience of direct teams
* Purchasing and supplier management
* Highly computer literate - advanced excel
* Experience of an ERP implementation/upgrade
* Excellent communication and influencing to develop strong relationships internally and externally
* Experience of quality control
* Able to prioritise and allocate time effectively
* Strong team player
* Highly organised and motivated
