Our client a successful SME is looking to appoint a hands-on Finance Manager / Accountant (Part time / 1 Day Per Week) to control all accounting and financial matters, reporting to the Managing Director.
You'll be an experienced Finance Manager / Accountant used to working in a smaller businesses with a willingness to get stuck in. You'll be responsible for bookkeeping, payroll, bank reconciliation and financial reporting
We are looking for someone who can develop the longer term financial strategy but also assist with the day-to-day running of finance operations and internal process optimisation to help the business realise its growth potential.
This role is Part Time we're looking for someone for approx 1 day per week and our client is quite flexible is however this is put together.
The role includes:
- Oversee the accounts function
- Check monthly Management Accounts once they are produced
- Prepare any internal reports required by management
- Check the annual Financial Accounts and liaise with RSM
- Check prepared P45's, P60's and P11 D's
- Deal with any HMRC issues, if necessary with the Company's tax advisors
- Check prepared the payroll
- Check day to day cash flow management and reporting
- Prepare annual budgets
- Model 'what if 'scenarios with the Managing Director
- Integrate any new division's/companies financial systems with the main systems
- Ensure all financial controls are at a satisfactory level
- Check that accounting computerised systems are maintained as required
- Any other request from the Managing Director
The person:
*Sage experience (ideally)
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA Part Qualified or Qualified
*Solid Excel skills
*Hands on approach
*Experience of Payroll and VAT (essential)
