Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a good understanding of moderate learning difficulties? Would you like to work in an Outstanding SEN School? If so we have an exciting part time opportunity in the Chelmsford area that could be the job for you.

We are looking for an experienced Science teacher to take on a Year 9 Class, of 10 students who have moderate learning difficulties. Although they are in Year 9, the students are working at Year 8 levels.

The role is to cover part of a maternity leave and is for one day per week (Wednesday), from October half term until Christmas.

Experience working in a Special School would be advantageous but they will also consider strong teachers who have had some SEN exposure within a mainstream setting. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for somebody who is looking to move away from mainstream teaching and gain experience working in a Special School.

Alternatively, if you are already an experienced SEN Teacher it is a chance to hone in on your skills and exchange best practice in an Outstanding SEN School.

Our client are a Special School who provide for pupils who have statements for a range of special educational needs, including moderate learning difficulties, speech and language difficulties and emotional, social and communication difficulties. Due to varying levels of difficulties and ability the successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of differentiation within the classroom.

Having personally visited the School I am happy to say it has a great feel to it with a friendly and dynamic team already in place. They have a very creative and fun approach and offer good personal development opportunities.

Please send your CV to Greg Burns who is our dedicated SEN Consultant and will be happy to guide you through each step of the process from your application, and support up right up to the day you start with the School.
