FLT Field Service Technician / Forklift field Service Engineer

SALARY: £27,000 to £29,000 (DOE), £32,000 to £33,000 inc. OT, plus company vehicle.

LOCATION: This is a field based role covering North Kent and South East London.

HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Reporting to the Service Manager, in this varied and interesting role as FLT Field Service Technician / Fork List Field Service Engineer you will be working mainly at client sites, providing servicing, preventative maintenance work, and breakdown repairs for both electrical and mechanical vehicles.

Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:

*  Servicing and preventative maintenance of customer forklift truck equipment.

*  Attending breakdowns, performing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems fault diagnosis, and carrying out necessary repairs.

* Servicing, adjusting and overhauling electrical components.

* Testing electrical circuits, electrical components and diagnosing faults.

*  Recognising and reporting on electrical and associated defects and/or symptoms of impending failure.

*  Maintaining good client relationships, ensuring the highest levels of customer service are achieved.

* Ensuring appropriate stock levels are held on the company vehicle.

Ideally you will already be an experienced LOLER/TEC certified FLT Field Service Engineer with experience from within the material handling, motor trade, agricultural industry or plant and equipment.

Whatever your background you will need the following skills and experience:

*  Solid auto-electrical experience including strong diagnosis and repair skills.

* A good knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical equipment repair.

*  the ability to use your own initiative to solve problems.

*  Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in a professional manner.

*  The ability to plan and prioritise your workload.

*  A full UK driving licence.

Your current or previous roles may have included: FLT Field Service Technician, FLT Engineer, Fork Lift Truck Technician, Auto Electrician, Auto-Electrical Fitter, Auto Electrical Technician, Commercial Vehicle Electrician, Field Service Auto-Electrician, Agricultural Engineer, or similar.
