Hours: 37 hours per week

Our Client’s aim is the help their students succeed, right from their first day to the day that they leave. As a Further Education college based in North Tyneside they provide training that allows their students, the community and employers of North Tyneside and beyond to succeed and prosper.

They are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive, proactive ‘can do’ approach to plan and deliver the Princes Trust 12 week programmes. 

As the Princes Trust Team Leader / Trainer the successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice, guidance and the recruitment of potential new learners onto the programme. 

Delivering teaching, learning and assessment for learners to successfully achieve their qualifications, you must plan, lead and deliver on team residential weeks and act as a course leader for the Princes Trust Programme.  Recruiting and providing information, advice and guidance to potential new learners, you will prepare effective materials for learners to enable them to meet their goals and targets whilst ensuring that all assessment and verification records are accurate, legible and completed in a timely manner.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge of provisions available to local young people coupled with extensive occupational experience of working directly with young people from the programmes target groups.  With previous experience in assessing vocational qualifications in similar settings, you should be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be IT literate including the use of Microsoft Office.

The successful candidate will be required to have a commitment to CPD and hold or demonstrate a willingness to achieve the Princes Trust initial team leader qualification in addition to a relevant teaching qualification.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be expected to spend time away on residential visits.
