LOCATION: Threlkeld, Cumbria
JOB TITLE: Flood Recovery Project Manager
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP30,519 - GBP35,731 (dependant on experience)
WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (flexitime scheme) - 37 hours per week
THE COMPANY: We are currently working with a National Park. The vision for the park is to conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the National Park and promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities by the public.
THE ROLE: As a Flood Recovery Project Manager you will be leading and coordinating the management, practical delivery, promotion and monitoring of the Flood Recovery 'Routes to Resilience' Project. Working closely with others and leading your team you will complete the delivery plan to the agreed timescales and within budget.

- Project manage the 'Routes to Resilience' project
- Manage budgets and report on progress
- Line manage the flood recovery rangers
- Ensure the project is delivered and monitored to agreed timescales and promote the work through the partners, stakeholders, key communities and the media
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to have excellent organisational, planning skills and project management. Having experience delivering projects funded by external funds is highly desirable as is experience or delivering environmental management services.
Key experience essential for the Flood Recovery Project Manager role:
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Leadership and/or management training, qualification or experience
- Driving licence
- Project management training, qualification or experience
- Experience in the financial management of revenue, capital and project budgets
- Experience of line managing a team of staff and/or volunteers
- Experience of working in partnerships and in multi-disciplinary teams to successfully develop and deliver joint projects
- Experience of writing tenders for contractors
- Experience of producing project reports and financial claims for project delivery
- A good knowledge of health and safety legislation, application and its implications
- Understanding the recreational, economic and social value of the countryside
