JOB TITLE: Part Time Practice Nurse
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive dependant on experience + NHS pension scheme + onsite car parking
WORKING HOURS: 15 hours per week (Mon-Fri with occasional Saturday mornings)
THE COMPANY: Our client is a busy GP Practice that has been established for over 30 years and has around 8,400 patients. They are based in Southwater, on the outskirts of Horsham, West Sussex and are looking to recruit a Part Time Practice Nurse to join their expanding nursing team.
THE ROLE: Our client is now looking to appoint a part time Practice Nurse. The ideal candidate will have a hands on approach, be a real team player with a passion for taking on and developing the role of Practice Nurse with the full support of the practice, to provide a more efficient practice, ensuring patient care is at the top of the agenda
Key Responsibilities of a part time Practice Nurse to include:-
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for this position will need to have a current NMC pin. You will need to be comfortable working within a varied environment and have excellent communication skills. Having experience in one of the following is also highly desirable; chronic disease management, family planning, childhood immunisations, travel vaccinations and cervical cytology.

- Chronic Disease Reviews
- Spirometry
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure
- Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
- Assisting GPs with minor surgery
- Smear tests
- Ear syringing
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for this position will need to have a current NMC pin. You will need to be comfortable working within a varied environment and have excellent communication skills. Having experience in one of the following is also highly desirable; chronic disease management, family planning, childhood immunisations, travel vaccinations and cervical cytology.
Key experience essential for the part time Practice Nurse role:
- Valid NMC pin
- IT literate
- Live within a commutable distance to Southwater
