The Business

The Fort St George is a Mixed Food and Drink business with a 64/36 Split. It has average weekly sales of GBP19,500, it has 100 covers inside, but with an external area of a further 200 covers. Sales range from GBP12,000 to GBP45,000 a week depending on time of year. In addition it has an outside bar, with a BBQ area.

Role & Responsibilities

As a General Manager you will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the successful management of the business.

With the desire to excel, succeed and win, ideally you will have a clear understanding of high-street / late-night operations and how to drive sales and grow profit in this highly competitive environment. You will be energetic and focused, and able to adapt to the demands of both the food and entertainment elements of the business. With fantastic people skills you will have the ability to lead, motivate and develop your team and engage your customers. You will need to be genuinely passionate about hospitality and will have the ability to consistently deliver high quality and exceptional standards across your business. Excellent presentation and efficient customer service are key so you will be service-obsessed and have great attention to detail.
