Graduate IT Recruitment Consultant / Resourcer
Dear seeker of recruitment opportunity,
I founded Rebel in 2015 as a specialist recruitment company determined to do things differently. I aimed to cram it full of honest, intelligent and passionate recruiters who people would enjoy working with. Somewhere committed to providing a more human, responsive and dependable service to our candidates and employers, and somewhere where people would be genuinely proud to work.
We're a small team of friends and former colleagues who have come together to form something that we think is very special (and thankfully our growing customer base seems to agree). We've gone from strength to strength in the last 12 months and are now looking to hire our very first trainees / graduates to be part of the Rebel story.
We're hard working, committed relationship-builders who do things the right way (rather than the easy way) to ensure our service always stands out from the crowd...and we're ready to invite a couple of budding Rebels to join our cause.
You'll join as a trainee recruiter / resourcer, learning the ropes from old (ish!) hands and supporting the current team with existing workloads. Your role will be to help us fill more of our customers' vacancies whilst also developing your own employer networks so one day you can spread your wings and become a fully fledged Rebel Recruiter.
We're looking for exceptionally talented people to join us. A recruitment role with us is going to be fun, challenging, lucrative and exciting, but only if you have the right blend of ambition, dedication, fearlessness and gumption (I really do love that word).
I'm ideally looking for graduates with an excellent academic track record, so A's or B's at A-level coupled with a 2:2 or above degree from University would be preferred (we deal with extremely clever people every day and need to keep up!). Subjects aren't so important as my current team members have studied anything from Languages through to Sciences previously. However, graduates in Computer Science or Software Engineering will enjoy a head start in our industry.
Evidence of work experience gained during your studies would be great, as we do like grafters who can balance different priorities. Importantly, I'm after people with an interesting story to tell, for whom failure is not an option and who are proactive / entrepreneurial in nature.
We're a small start-up, so you won't get a corporate environment with shiny graduate schemes or lots of suits walking around comparing commission cheques. What you'll get is the chance to work in a supportive and ambitious company with other successful, grounded recruiters who love what they do. You'll also learn from someone who has been in your shoes and knows what it takes to be successful (that'll be me by the way).
If you're interested, do get in touch. I'll need you to write at least a paragraph or two explaining why you'd be a good match for our business, so do take a look at our soon-to-be-upgraded website to get a feel for who we are. Every applicant who does this will get a personal reply from me.
If you've just started looking into recruitment and don't know much about it then that's fine. Most people 'fall into' recruitment after graduating, so it doesn't concern me if you didn't dream of being a recruiter as a kid...but you do need to know the basics of what the role involves and why you might want to do it. You'll also need to be based in Nottingham.
We'll offer successful prospects a competitive basic salary and very generous commission / bonuses that will increase as you develop. As a trainee recruitment consultant / resourcer you can expect to earn between GBP18k - GBP25k in your first year with GBP30k+ by your second year with us, or perhaps even more with our uncapped bonuses (providing you are promoted to become a full time consultant).
Recruiters with experience looking for a change are also encouraged to drop us a line - we're open minded and will consider everyone on their own merits.
OK, that's quite enough from me for now. Over to you ;-)
Yours faithfully,
The MD of Rebel Recruitment
