As a Commis Chef your key requirements are:
??To provide an appropriate and proactive level of service to meet the needs of the catering department and customer requirements
??To assist in the general preparation and the service of menu including specified dishes and staff food items
??To have an awareness of knife usage and safety
??To be familiar with all kitchen equipment
??Maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic working area
??Understand and appreciate ingredient quality and control to minimise wastage
??Ensure storage and dating / stock rotation is in line with Company procedures and policies
The ideal candidate will:
??Have a strong focus on customer service
??Have attained a comprehensive foundation of knowledge and practical skills in relation to food production and service within a commercial enterprise
??Apply training in order to continuously develop within the role
??Demonstrate behaviours that support an understanding of the importance of teamwork
??Be flexible with regards to shift times and willing and able to work night shifts and weekends
??Possess a good standard of verbal English language skills
??Be eligible to work within the UK
