Area Manager - Charity

An Area Manager is sought in the North West (base is negotiable) to join a national, registered charity based in the Midlands. The organisation provides specialist support for thousands of vulnerable people and their families, every month. Through their pioneering and innovative work they support people to make positive, lasting changes in their lives.

The charity works with those experiencing homelessness, sex work and child exploitation and offers support to those in the criminal justice system as well as those suffering from addiction or domestic abuse.

They are now recruiting for an Area Manager to oversee operations in the North West area. This is an important, strategic role. The post holder will oversee the work of the Project Managers and Service Managers and will be accountable to the Director of Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the organisational strategic plan and will provide strategic direction and operational management, including monitoring performance against annual delivery plans.

Location: North West (base is negotiable)
Salary: £31,800 - £35,400 per annum
Benefits: Pension scheme, 25 days annual leave per annum

The ideal Area Manager will possess the following:
- Substantial experience in similar services or a charity offering support for socially disadvantaged and vulnerable people
- Experience of operational management
- Knowledge of issues faced by vulnerable people and causes & effects related to social exclusion
- Experience of managing budgets and financial records
- The ability to motivate, develop, lead and influence others
