Bookkeeper / Accountant with a great Accounts / Finance background and Sage 50 experience required for an established and leading IT Services Company based in Central London.

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Bookkeeper / Accountant that is a versatile Accounts / Finance Guru with a proven background in book keeping and strong knowledge of Sage 50.
Working as the Bookkeeper / Accountant you will have a wide range of tasks from producing monthly Management Accounts, PAYE, Payroll, VAT returns, Cash Flow management and posting to the Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
As a successful candidate you will have a strong Accounts / Book Keeping background with in-depth knowledge of Sage 50, coupled solid administrative skills.

DUTIES
Reporting to the Managing Director, your duties as the Bookkeeper / Accountant will include:
- Produce monthly management accounts and perform monthly balance sheet reviews
- Transactional processes
- Posting all transactions
- Preparing accounts for audit purposes
- PAYE and Payroll responsibilities
- Produce insightful management reports for the MD
- Aiding in preparation of year end accounts
- Submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
- Inputting all invoices into Sage 50 and processing payments
- Raising sales invoices to clients
- Managing all bank accounts and company credit cards
- Full cover of purchase ledger from start to finish including expenses
- Full cover of sales ledger from start to finish including billing/invoicing and credit control
- Producing a set of financial and management accounts at period end
- Reconciling company bank accounts
- Producing financial reports
- Tight cash flow management
- Working closely with the Managing Director to add commercial value
- Working directly with clients and contractors in a professional manner
IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
The Successful candidate will have the following experience/qualifications:
- Minimum AAT Qualified or equivalent
- Previous experience in using Sage 50
- Proven book keeping / accounts experience
- Have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office with advanced Excel
- Have the ability to work on your own initiative, with excellent organisation and communication skills
- Solid experience with processing payroll and preparing VAT returns
- Bank reconciliation experience
- Posting invoices / credits
- Have good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Be a team player
- Strong cash control management and prioritisation of workload
- Ability to work in a sole accounting role is key
- Ability to easily to commute Central London
