JOB TITLE: Vehicle Painter

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP12ph, 22 days annual + bank holidays, free on-site parking, pension contribution after qualifying period, salary sacrifice scheme and a variety of staff benefits

THE ROLE:
Due to their incredible growth, our Milton Ernest, Bedford based client are looking to recruit
an experienced Vehicle Painter within there established Body shop.
Reporting into the Body shop Production Manager, you will be determined to deliver and exceed customer expectations, ensuring all work is produced to a high standard within the busy and often demanding environment.
As a Vehicle Painter, you will excellent hand-eye coordination and be able to think effectively on your feet to ensure an excellent and well-matched paint job.
Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Painterto include:-
  • Prepare vehicles to be re-sprayed
  • Mix paints to ensure a perfect match and re-spray vehicles
  • Identification and rectification of paint faults
  • Technologies and cost comparison
  • Checking on completion ensuring there are no defects
  • Quality control requirements

THE CANDIDATE:
Our client is looking for a skilled or semi-skilled individual to join their established body shop team. You will hold a driving licence for 2 years or more.

Key experience essential for the Vehicle Painter role:
  • ATA Certification
  • Proven experience and capable of high-quality finish with all types of methods of paintwork
  • Product knowledge
  • Water based spraying skills are essential
  • City and Guilds qualification preferred but not essential
  • A familiarity with all Health and Safety guidelines
  • Drivers licence for 2 years and more - Essential
  • An ability to keep up with a constant flow of work in a very fast-paced environment
  • An ability to meet targets and deadlines with accuracy
  • An ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive working relationship with all members of staff
