Job Title: Sales Assistant and Store Manager

Location: Stockport

Salary: up to £18,000 for Sales Assistant

Up to £30,000 for Manager

They are a reputable retail and online business that is committed to providing the highest quality furnishing fabrics and soft furnishings at the most competitive prices.

The company have a number of retail outlets selling quality homewares, including fabrics for curtains, upholstery, soft furnishings, cushions and blinds.

They are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join their team, working at the Stockport Store in Cheadle Heath, who is self-motivated with excellent communication and customer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

The job role is mainly retail sales, assisting and advising customers in Store, taking orders and assisting in the day to day running of the store. Previous textile or soft furnishings experience would be an advantage but not necessary as full training will be given. Our primary focus is for you to be a team player bringing an enthusiastic outlook to our team.

As the Manager, you’ll also be assisting the Store Manager, and in their absence take responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store.

In this diverse role, you’ll have the chance to assist in helping shape and lead a passionate team and utilise your passion for textiles on a daily basis.

Key Requirements:

As an Manager, you’ll have a minimum of one year’s supervisory experience within a similar retail business, and be committed to achieving exceptional customer service standards. With your organisation skills you’ll prioritise effectively and be confident in your decision making.

The store is also looking for a Sales Assistant. Experience would be preferable for this role but not necessary as training will be provided. As long as you have strong customer service skills and the ambition to succeed, you will be considered.
