We are currently recruiting an experienced PA to work with a member of a the SLT of a large Liverpool secondary school. The post is to cover maternity until at least February half-term, possibly longer, and is term-time only, 35 hours per week approximately 8.30am to 4pm. We require an immediate start so do not hesitate to get in touch if you feel you are a suitable candidate. To be successful you will have:

- At least six months recent previous experience in a school which we can reference, as a working knowledge of the education environment and specific systems is essential

- Proven safeguarding knowledge and understanding

- An extensive background in secretarial work, and especially PA work

- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing

- High standards of numeracy and literacy, especially spelling and grammar

- Excellent organisation skills

- A strong work ethic and a professional attitude

- The ability to work under pressure to deadlines as part of a very busy team

- Experience of HR administration (for example contracts and payroll) would also be an advantage

- Providing confidential and highly professional support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of the school

- Management of diaries, travel organisation, minute-taking during meetings and maintaining correspondence with staff and parents

- Producing high quality school publications such as prospectus or policies

- Managing the recruitment process in conjunction with the SLT and maintaining personnel records

- General administration and secretarial duties, supporting in the office when required
