Senior Policy Executive
Salary: £46,704 p.a.

We are seeking a highly-skilled and dynamic Senior Policy Executive for Primary Care to join our busy Policy & Committee Services team.

You will be required to provide quality strategic and tactical support and advice to the BMA’s medical committees in Wales, while developing and articulating agreed policy objectives to senior decision makers in oral and written formats. Detailed knowledge of health policy in a Wales context, particularly in relation to primary care, is essential.

The role requires the post holder to ensure that a high proportion and diversity of BMA members are engaged in policy development, and that policy propositions have a positive impact on the future of health and healthcare.

You must be able to demonstrate a track record of effectively influencing internal and external stakeholders in a policy context, and have the ability to operate across multiple, complex and fast-moving policy areas, with exceptional skills in cross-team working, communication and managing professional relationships.

You will manage a small team of committee staff. Experience of leadership and management is therefore required.
