This leading global manufacturer of specialist coated products has an opportunity for a: Conversion/Slitting Operator- Permanent Position 40 hour week on a 2 shift rota
Salary Circa f22k + excellent benefits package- pension/profit related pay/free parking/shareholder bonus etc.
Key Tasks
Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher level technical personnel and monitor all related controls and guidelines stated on the production document to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Perform tests and check product routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring devices.
Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance, also records operational data on specified forms.
Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures, policies and practices and consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.
Continuously review current processes and search out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that add no value to the work or process.
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience of Converting/Slitting or Coating Processes.
- Good level of numeracy and literacy.
- IT Literate
