ICT Technician

Full-time, 37 hours per week • Required ASAP • Salary: £17,365 - £18,775 pa dependent on experience, plus a generous pension contribution.
The Langley Academy is a unique academy and serves the young people of Langley, Slough and further afield. Housed in an iconic building, designed by Foster and Partners, it is the UK's first Museum School and has a museum within the building, specialises in Science, pioneers the use of museum learning and aims to become a centre of excellence for sports, notably rowing and cricket. The academy is seeking to appoint an ICT Technician to join the ICT team, supporting academy staff and students. Ideally you will have ICT trouble shooting and problem solving skills, a basic knowledge of networking, including wireless networks, and a good knowledge of Microsoft systems and websites. More importantly, however, you will be flexible, be able to prioritise, quick to learn and enjoy being around young people.
Level 1 or Level earning Support Assisant Term-time only, 30.5 hours per week • Required for November 2016 • Salary: Level 1 FTE £15,655 - £15,859 pa (Actual £10,964 - £11,106 pa) or Level 2 FTE £16,122 - £17,075 pa (Actual £11,291 - £11,958 pa), plus a generous pension contribution.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic colleague to work in our SEND Department, under the guidance of the Head of Hearing Resource Base and SENCO to undertake support programmes that enable access to learning for students with special educational needs and to assist teaching staff in the management of students and the classroom. Ideally you have a GCSE grade C in English and Maths and have a strong interest in Literacy and/or Numeracy. An NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience would be desirable or you may be a graduate looking for a first step towards a career in teaching. You need to be patient and flexible, have a good standard of written and spoken English and enjoy interacting with young people and supporting their learning.
