Job Title: Financial Administrator
Location: Southend-on-Sea, SS1 1PP
Salary: £20,155 per annum
Term: Perm
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Administrator to join the team of a long established Residential Care Home located in Southend-on-End.
As a Care Home Administrator you will work at house level assisting the General Manager and Regional Team in all aspects of administration with particular reference to Finance and HR.
Your duties will include:
- Manage aspects of the Sales Ledger, including raising invoices, credit control and monthly reporting
- Manage aspects of the Purchase Ledger, including ensuring purchase procedures are followed, coding of supplier invoices and running monthly reports
- Ensure that Caresys system is kept up to date
- Carry out monthly basic reconciliations of the bank, petty cash, sales and purchase ledgers, bringing any issues to the attention of the General Manager and Regional Office
- Be aware of the requirements of COSHH and MHSW Regulations
- Attend meetings as requested
- Provide a comprehensive typing/word processing service as required
- Undertake general clerical duties including filing, photocopying and record keeping
- Order stocks and supplies (including uniforms) in co-ordination with the Housekeeper and Nursing staff
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Report all accidents/incidents in the correct manner
- Comply with regulations in respect of Health & Safety at Work, Environmental Health, Fire Procedures, Manual Handling, Operations etc and abide by the Company's Health & Safety Policy
- Undertake other duties as may reasonably be requested in order to maintain the smooth running of the Care Home
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English
- Proven numerical skills and good interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy is essential
- Sales and Purchase ledger experience desirable
