An exciting opportunity to develop a career as an Operations Manager within an exciting new and growing business.
You will be responsible for liaising with Bidvest Transport and Warehouse teams to ensure the smooth operational running of the business and overseeing the Transport Supervisor and 16 Customer Liaison Delivery Drivers.
Your role as the Operations Manager…
You will be responsible for managing and improving on the daily operation and performance of our Transport operations in order to ensure we are providing the expected levels of customer services. You will need to be very budget conscious, ensuring the welfare of all employees’ is maintained and the fleet is continually compliant with all relevant legislations. Your further responsibilities include:
• Overseeing warehouse duties
• Leading and setting behavioral standards
• Managing fleet performance ensuring maximum efficiency and service excellence
• Ensuring all audits are carried out and legal standards are met and exceeded
• Plan strategic improvements where possible
• Managing deployment of company vans, driving operational efficiencies and productivity
Who are we looking for to be our new Operation Manager?
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate leadership qualities, able to engage, recruit and develop the capabilities of our Operational Teams. You will be confident and experienced in driving service excellence and able to maintain strong working relationships across our company in order to enhance internal service standards and facilitate services.
