Position: Supply and Demand Planner
Location: Essex
Salary: £34000 - £37000 per annum Plus benefits

Our client is a well respected & leading FMCG and Retail business who is actively seeking to take on board an ambitious, organised and fast paced Supply and Demand Planner to join their team based in Essex. The main focus of this role will be on planning the supply of product through optimising inventory and production requirements, whilst ensuring OTIF. The successful applicant will be the key interface between demand planning/forecasting, regional and central supply chain and logistics hubs to ensure maximum availability. The successful candidate will undertake the following duties:
* Manage the end to end supply planning process to include maximising inventory level and product availability.
* Manage purchase order interaction with both local and central suppliers.
* Work in collaboration with the Demand Planner regarding forecasting decisions.
* Drive analysis on stocks and monitoring the overall performance with consideration for regular and stock by required category.
* Track all movement of stock shipments for OTIF delivery to warehouse and customer, analysing KPI data to monitor performance against relevant agreed lead times.
* Define and recommend necessary action with regards to safety stock adjustments, dead stock depreciation and destruction and transfer proposals and manage system updates.
Essential experience and abilities required:
* Graduate calibre
* A strong understanding of Retail or FMCG supply chain with at least 3 years+ FMCG supply chain experience
* Highly computer literate - advanced excel
* Customer and Supplier focused - experience of working collaboratively with key retail customers and Suppliers
* Excellent communication and influencing to develop strong relationships internally and externally
* Able to prioritise and allocate time effectively
* Diligent in completion of tasks and projects
* Strong team player
* Highly organised and motivated
