Position: Syndicate Accountant
Location: City of London
Salary: £45000 - £65000 per annum Plus package of benefits
Job Type: Full Time
The company client is a well established and reputable business who is now looking to appoint a Syndicate Accountant for their syndicate office based in the City. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward thinking organization who truly invests in their people and future.
Role purpose:
* The role will be around 50% focused on the client's regulatory reporting including QMA's and QMB's, and 50% on Group reporting, including analytical review of revenue, reinsurance analysis, and setting ultimate and earned gross/reinsurance premium.
Experience and qualifications for this position:
* The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant, though they will consider people who are part-qualified or qualified by experience.
* The client would prefer candidates from an industry background within a syndicate reporting function, though auditors with strong financial knowledge may be considered.
* As a minimum candidates will have reporting knowledge including QMA's and QMB's, and they will be a positive influence on the team, particularly around coaching 2 junior assistants.
* Strong IT skills, including Excel, as the use of some advanced systems will be required
