LOCATION: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
JOB TITLE: Production Operative
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP Neg Dependant on Experience
WORKING HOURS: 8am-5pm,Monday to Friday.
THE COMPANY: Our Client is Europe's leading manufacturer of GRP Silo's and tanks. Being established for over 50 years, this family run company are a market leader in their field.
THE ROLE: An exciting opportunity has opened to join our client's highly professional team working within the GRP (Glass reinforced plastic) Fibreglass Department. The role will be varied, and physical. This role will involve working with Fibreglass on Silos and Tanks, Laminating to a high standard and getting involved in other projects when required.
Key Responsibilities to include:-Production Operative,Barnsley, South Yorkshire
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the role will have a good knowledge of Glass reinforced Plastic Lamination. A good understanding of health and safety and be cross registered would be a distinct advantage. Reliability, hard-working and the ability to learn are also key to this role.

Key Responsibilities to include:-Production Operative,Barnsley, South Yorkshire
- Applying fibreglass and resins.
- Selecting pre-cut fibreglass mats, cloth and materials as required by projects being assembled
- Apply layers of plastic resins to mould surfaces
- Check completed products for conformance to specifications and for defects
- Trimming, grinding and sanding.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the role will have a good knowledge of Glass reinforced Plastic Lamination. A good understanding of health and safety and be cross registered would be a distinct advantage. Reliability, hard-working and the ability to learn are also key to this role.
Key experience for the role:Production Operative,Barnsley, South Yorkshire
- Experience with laminating Fibreglass(preferable but not essential)
- Experience using a chopper gun to spray resin (preferable but not essential)
- Current fork lift license( desirable)
