Job Description:

My client is an innovator and a leading company in their field. They design and manufacture a range of automated machine systems, material handling equipment and flow systems, used within the medical and scientific industries. They are working exclusively with 360 Resourcing to recruit a Field Based Maintenance Technician. The role will see you travel to companies right across the UK, however the majority of clients will be based around Northampton, Cambridgeshire and Oxfordshire areas. As a field based Maintenance Technician working for the company your role will be to visit clients throughout the UK and delivering planned preventive maintenance to airflow control systems used on their automated machinery, this will include calibrating the airflow system (using a laptop to access calibration screens and ensure they are optimised), changing and repairing filters and general basic maintenance checks to the airflow piping and units Based from home you will receive a work schedule each day and will travel across the UK to client sites, offering them the highest level of service. Key Duties and Responsibilities Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance, to airflow systemsEnsure all airflow equipment is working to its optimum levels Update the electronic job management system according to agreed procedures. Calibration of equipmentEnsure effective communication with customers Manage and maintain tools, parts and equipment Participate as a member of the Technical Services team, providing support to other team members Deliver a consistently high quality service driven by understanding customer needs & expectations. Put forward ideas and assist in the development of standards and procedures Skills and Competancies HNC, apprenticship trained or graduate within engineering would be advantageous (electrical preferred but not essential)Some exposure to working within an engineering environmentGood level of mathematicsGood level of accuracyWillingness to travel Driven, passionate about engineering, comfortable in a customer facing environmentThis is a fantastic first step into a service engineering environment with a leading manufacturing company and there is the opportunity to train in further areas of maintenance engineering within the business to become a fully trained Service engineer within 3-5 years. The business also offers an excellent salary and benefits package comprising of :- 20,000 - 25,000, with up to 12% annual bonuses, a company van, company credit card (fuel), uniform, mobile and laptop, 3% pension contributions (rising to 5.5% with 2 years service) and real opportunities to progress your career to a more senior role. This is a days based office hours role, however a degree of flexibility is needed due to travel.
