An exciting opportunity for a SENCo to join a thriving infant and nursery school.
Our school
Someries Infant and Nursery School provides an innovative education to 3 to 7 years olds in the east of Luton, close to the Hertfordshire border. We are a two form entry infant and nursery school admitting 60 children per
year. We are an extremely well-resourced, values-based school who keep children at the centre of everything we do. Our unique Immersive Learning Centre enables our teachers to take their pupils anywhere in the world, and beyond!
The role:
We are now seeking to appoint a SENCo to lead, develop and support effective practice for pupils with individual learning needs throughout our school. Our new SENCo will ensure pupils' personal needs are addressed in the most effective way and they are able to make rapid progress in line with our high expectations.
You will:
• receive dedicated time to carry out your role as SENCo
• receive dedicated administrative support
• receive dedicated teaching and learning support staff
• receive an excellent training package consisting of both internal and external support
• receive funded training towards gaining the National Award for SEN
Coordination (NASENCo)
• receive a laptop computer to support you in your role.
This will be a non-class-based role and applications from teachers with experience in teaching early years or key stage one children are warmly welcomed.
