We specialise in the recycling of all forms of waste wood and produce a range of sustainable products suitable for the panel board industry, biomass power plants and for use within animal bedding.  With over 40 years experience, we have built an enviable reputation for service and quality.

The Financial Controller role:

This is a newly created role to support a busy finance team reporting directly to the FD, and will certainly suit someone who enjoys challenges and looks for continuous improvement.

You will provide accountancy support to a busy wood recycling and manufacturing business.  Producing detailed and accurate financial reports, reconciliations, analysis and management information used to support business decision making. You will also provide cover in the absence of the Accounts Manager for payroll and accounts payable.

The work will be varied and will require occasional visits to other sites, so a flexible approach to work and the ability to communicate with people at all levels are important skills required of the role.

As our Financial Controller your duties will include:

- Producing detailed and accurate financial reports (monthly trading accounts as well as ad hoc projects), reconciliations, analysis (site by site as well as consolidated) and management information, all of which will then be used to support business decision making.

- You will be expected to also review and evaluate production control information, highlighting trends and providing supporting analysis as required.  

- There are many varying aspects to the role that you will need to get involved in and will make a real difference to the business, including  the production of detailed P & L analysis, liaising with auditors, financiers and all statutory bodies, along with evaluating costing projects and highlighting credit control concerns.

Key skills and experience needed to become our Financial Controller:

- We are looking for ideally someone with manufacturing industry experience, someone who enjoys taking on a variety of tasks and would like to join a friendly team.

- Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft packages with intermediate / advanced excel skills. 

- CIMA/ACCA/ACA fully qualified or recent finalist are certainly preferable.

We offer 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) and a pension scheme.  Usual hours of work Monday – Friday 9 a.m – 5 p.m.
