Located in the idyllic Crosby Coastal Park on the Mersey Estuary, the UK’s premier water sports, conferencing & events centre requires an exceptional and highly motivated Head Chef.
Since its grand opening in July 2010, Lakeside Bistro has received a number of outstanding reviews and has developed an enviable reputation for its high quality cuisine. We are looking for an individual with the experience and ability to improve upon these already impressive standards of service.
Alongside its industry leading sports and leisure provision, Lakeside boasts 14 luxury, fully accessible double bedrooms, a hugely popular bar and bistro, excellent conference and meeting facilities and caters for a range of private functions and events including weddings, christenings and parties.
The post which is critical to the successful operation of Lakeside Bistro requires an experienced, skilled and highly committed individual for the role of Head Chef in delivering excellent standards of service to our valued customers, ensuring that high quality cuisine is consistently delivered. Experience of working at this level in a busy kitchen environment as well as banqueting experience is essential.
Key roles and responsibilities of the post will include managing a kitchen brigade covering all personnel areas, setting rotas etc, creating menus for all seasons for the bistro and functions on site within the facilities financial constraints and to the satisfaction of Environmental Health.
As Head Chef you will be part of the facilities Management Team and you will be expected to attend management meetings constantly looking to drive the business forward.
The salary which is based on a 40 hour week is all encompassing and inclusive of unsocial hour’s payment, shift pay, and weekend enhancements.
