THE COMPANY: Our client is a well established, leading Accountancy firm based in Goole, York and Pontefract. With specialist advisors across all aspects of accountancy, dealing with a range of businesses and individual commissions. Due to an expansion, we are now looking for a professional Accounts Senior to work within our client's Pontefract office.
THE ROLE: As an Accounts Senior you will be responsible for working with both Manual and computerised records and will be working under minimal supervision as well as supporting junior members of staff. This role will also offer scope for professional development for the right candidate.
YOU WILL:
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for this Accounts Senior position will be AAT qualified or equivalent. You will need to hold strong practical experience completing work on full accounts, VAT and tax returns and ideally Audits. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent organisational skills.

- Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- VAT and Tax Returns
- Report directly to a Partner
- Working to tight deadlines
- Occasional travel to client premises
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for this Accounts Senior position will be AAT qualified or equivalent. You will need to hold strong practical experience completing work on full accounts, VAT and tax returns and ideally Audits. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent organisational skills.
Key experience essential for the role:
- An AAT qualification or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience of bookkeeping & accounts preparation
- Audit experience is advantageous but not essential
- Practical experience of preparing VAT and tax returns
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
