Job Description:

Our client is looking for a PHP Developer with both backend and frontend experience to join their development team in Loughborough. You will engage with a dynamic team to maintain the existing codebase, as well as helping develop a highly scalable new global platform leveraging the latest technologies. You will be proficient in delivering high-quality PHP code making use of test-driven methodologies and modern frameworks. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to identify issues and provide innovative and efficient solutions to streamline overall development efforts.

What they're looking for

- Relevant experience building scalable and secure platforms;
- Experience development experience using PHP with OOP;

- At least 2-3 years of development experience using one or several of the following frameworks:
Phalcon, Zend Framework (v1 or v2), Symfony 2 or Laravel, TDD (PhpUnit);
Knowledge of

* HTML5, CSS3, Jquery and Twitter Bootstrap 3;
* RDBMS like PostgreSQL and MySQL;
* REDIS or Memcache;
* TypeScript
* SASS, Linux/Unix environments and Amazon EC2
* Agile methodologies

They would like see:

*Experience, communicating project status, defining, documenting, and maintaining processes and procedures
*Ability to develop unconventional solutions for customer requirements in a collaborative environment as part of a dynamic team and independently with customers at all levels
*You to be highly analytical, creative, and innovative in solving problems
*Ability prepare and present briefings and training
*Bachelor's degree or Certification in a recognised, immersive technology discipline or School/Project experience in designing and implementing web and/or mobile applications
