Job Title: Nursery Worker & Senior Nursery Worker

Location: Bartley Green, Birmingham

Salary: £15,348 - £16,472 p.a. inclusive of Local Weighting

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week)

The organisation is a leading early year's charity and is also the largest voluntary sector provider of childcare services. They have an exciting opportunity in their Nursery based in Bartley Green, Birmingham. The nursery is part of a group of full day care nurseries across England which provides childcare and support for young children and their families and works in partnership with the Birmingham City Council and the Department for Education.

Key Responsibilities:

You will provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the setting and maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment. You will also take responsibility for planning and delivering a foundation stage curriculum.

You will take responsibility for the provision of care and appropriate learning opportunities for children in the nursery. You will also supervise the children and protect them from dangerous or harmful situations and liaise daily with their parents/carers providing them with a daily activity record.

Key Requirements:

Essential criteria for the senior role is a minimum level 3 early years education and childcare qualification and post qualification experience within this area. You will also be required to supervise setting staff working in your specific area and have an understanding of child development and children's needs.

The successful applicants for the Nursery Worker position will need a minimum level 2 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent and experience of working with children.
