Quantity Surveyor

As a result of continued growth an excellent opportunity has been identified by TH Michaels Ltd for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and dynamic privately owned construction company.

Currently seeking to expand and strengthen their team with the addition of an experienced Quantity Surveyor based in Sheffield.

The Role
Reporting to the Surveying Director, as Quantity Surveyor your remit will include:
• Take a contract from order through to completion
• Attendance on site to assess potential projects & attend meetings with clients / architects
• Assess tender documents, requirements and report findings
• Place subcontractor and material orders in addition to liaising with payment terms
• Providing cost variations re-measures and breakdowns with all relevant back-up documentation
• Use of Bills of Quantities, schedule and specifications
• Review and assessment of supply chain on a regular basis

What do you need?
• Qualified Quantity Surveyor
• Experience in Quantity Surveying for a main contractor on similar projects essential
• Experience in new build & refurbishment projects is advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills & ability to develop working relationships with both new and existing clients
