Persimmon Homes East Wales requires two Surveyors ideally one with Groundwork’s experience and one with Housebuilding experience to join our Commercial team based at our office in Llantrisant.

This person would assist in the financial management of sites, through effective and efficient cost controls, producing reports to allow Senior Management to establish site status, interim valuations, tendering, site budgets, subcontract orders, payments, and liaise with other departments.

They would also be expected to guide and mentor less experienced members of the department e.g. trainee/assistant surveyors.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate sound quantity surveying skills. They must have Commercial awareness, an eye for detail, are reliable, demonstrates effective cost control/reconciliation skills, be a team player, organised, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude. They must be able to guide and support other members of the department.

The applicant should also be ambitious and determined to build a long term career with this progressive regional business.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in quantity surveying, sound knowledge of cost control, procurement and commercial aspects of construction/house building.

Valid CSCS card required.
