Our highly successful client is looking for bright and innovative web designer to join their growing Design and Development Team.
About the candidate
This is a junior role and would suit someone with 1-3 years experience.
Working in our client's comfortable, modern studio in Horsham you’ll be a key part of their Design and Development team, responsible for assisting with the design and conversion of websites into HTML, CSS and Javascript, often involving open-source CMS platforms such as Wordpress and HubSpot.
Your commercial experience may be limited to 1-3 years / Degree standard but as you will be immediately immersed in a busy environment, you will be expected to hit the ground running. As a digital designer, a sound knowledge of Photoshop and an understanding of wireframing approaches will be expected.
You will be passionate about web design and be comfortable actively contributing up-to-date technical/ industry knowledge, experience and ideas. You must be able to demonstrate both attention to detail and an ability to work on your own initiative. An ability to communicate clearly both internally and with clients is essential. Supporting training and career development will also be provided.
Skills for the web designer / front-end developer
We are looking for a digital designer who can:
? Design & develop new and existing websites using HTML, CSS (including HTML5, CSS3) and preferably some Javascript / jQuery.
? Produce digital marketing materials including email templates and online banner ads.
? Create images, icons and other graphics using Photoshop / Adobe CS.
? Assist with the production of wireframes and Design Specification Documents.
? A good knowledge of WordPress, jQuery / javascript, LAMP / SQL is desireable.
