We are looking for Relief Support Workers to join our team based in Barnham, West Sussex.

The Service

The Hollies is home to nine adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs. They need varying levels of support to help them live full and active lives. Some need help with personal care and getting around safely. Others need support to access local activities and to be involved in their community.

Who we are

United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. We believe in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate in the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries.

Who we are looking for

We need reliable and passionate people to join our close-knit team of Relief Support Workers, supporting people out in the community, as well in their own homes. You’ll help them cook, clean, pay bills, apply for jobs, make friends and a thousand things in between.

Not got any experience?

Don’t worry!  Those new to care will be fully supported.  Our comprehensive training programme offers everyone – regardless of previous knowledge and experience – the chance to create a career they can be proud of.

What we need from you

You need compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect.  You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, be able to travel between locations and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and overnight as needed.  You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills.

The benefits

In return for your passion and commitment, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:

• Paid annual leave
• Pension contribution
• Childcare vouchers
• Access to free occupational health, physiotherapy, counselling and advice service
• Fully paid training and access to nationally recognised qualifications
• Access to an online shopping platform with discounts from over 3,500 retailers

Plus the chance to make a positive difference to someone’s life every day - which is the biggest perk of all!

So what are you waiting for? Apply now! We look forward to receiving your application.
