We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At Canal & River Trust we are currently looking for a Fundraising Team Leader (Towpath/Street & Private Site) with previous charity fundraising experience to join our friendly team based in Birmingham to lead a team of up to 5 people across various sites. The successful candidate will join us on a full time basis working Wednesday-Sunday and will receive an hourly rate of £10- £11.50 per hour with a competitive commission structure. An Immediate start is available for the right candidate!

We are a charity entrusted with protecting and improving 2000 miles of waterways that flows through the most vibrant cities and countryside across England & Wales. The local canal and rivers provide a haven for people and nature, and the Canal & River Trust is here so you have a place to escape.

In order to continue to protect our waterways for future generations to come, we need people who share our passion for them. As a result we are looking for an experience fundraiser/team leader to lead a fundraising team across a multi-site operation from Wednesday to Sunday.

What’s the Fundraising Team Leader role all about?

You will be working closely with the Regional Coordinator to support The Canal & River Trust to achieve its fundraising objectives. The Team Leader’s (TL) responsibility is to monitor and evaluate the performance of the team so that budgeted targets and KPIs are achieved.

You will be tracking and monitoring results to ensure the team are hitting daily/weekly and monthly fundraising targets by leading by example through an ethical approach.

As a TL you will be responsible for conducting performance management and reviews for individuals. Additionally you be an integral team member by developing fundraisers through coaching, training and mentoring programmes to ensure that the team are able to achieve targets and key milestones.

You will be responsible for sharing engaging stories of our historic network, captivating wildlife and idyllic locations by leading from the front.

On occasions you will have the opportunity to lead your team to assist with events and festivals.

What we’re looking for in our Fundraising Team Leader

- Minimum of 6 months fundraising experience.

- Must be able to work Wednesday to Sunday on a weekly basis.

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills.

- Ability to inspire and lead from the front.

Desirable but not essential requirements;

- Previous experience of recruiting, coaching and motivating staff.

- Experience of performance managing individuals and leading a team of up to 5 fundraisers.

- Full UK driving license and own transport.

Fundraising Team Leader - Available shifts

Wednesday - Sunday

- 10am-6pm  - 5 shifts per week - 35 hours per week - £10 -£11.50ph depending on experience.

- Competitive commission structure of up to £50 per week (based on 7-10 sign ups per week).
