Joining our client as a Performance and Improvement Officer, you will assess, review and report on data and performance to deliver change for services and customers.

Understanding data and using this information to provide assurance to senior managers and the Board on progress against strategic and service priorities, you will work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to identify process improvements, performance risks and improvement opportunities.

Working with service managers and customers to ensure reviews are delivered on time, to scope and result in service improvements, you will produce and present outcome-focused reports and maintain and develop the systems and frameworks that facilitate performance, satisfaction and progress reporting.  Regularly reviewing performance indicators, measures and targets, you must challenge their use by managers and ensure that they continue to reflect business needs and drive the right behaviours.

You must also lead on the preparation of regulatory and other returns, including statistical returns, contribute to the review and development of corporate strategies and support the review and delivery of the Value for Money Strategy and action plan.

Candidates for this role must the able to deliver work in any or all of the following areas; Performance analysis, service reviews, service improvement and / or strategy/policy development and have experience of managing projects and / or initiatives involving a range of stakeholders.  Capable of using performance management systems to collate, analyse and report data, you should be able to employ good standards of literacy and numeracy, especially when analysing data and writing reports and utilise value for money principles to challenge and improve services

Knowledge of local government, social housing, arms length management organisations and regulatory/advisory bodies in order to keep the business abreast of developments would also be beneficial.  Working with colleagues at all levels in the business, you must be a strong influencer and enabler in order to drive forward change.
