Internal Sales/Business Generator

Mantra Learning has a unique opportunity available for an Internal Sales/Business Generator to join the team in Middleton. The role is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week between 7.30am and 5.30pm. We are offering a salary of £16,000 - £18,000 per annum depending on experience and the opportunity for excellent commission earnings.

The primary focus of our Internal Sales/Business Generator will be to grow the sales of the main Mantra Learning Ltd’s training and development (including apprenticeships) offering to the logistics, automotive, retail and manufacturing sector using the use of a telemarketing sales programmes and techniques. 

This will include relationship management of a portfolio of existing customers, and also telemarketing canvassing activities to generate, support and promote business solutions for new customers. The role will also encompass identifying immediate sales opportunities to satisfy short term business objectives and medium / long term sales activity; contacting potential new clients to arrange appointments for field Business Improvement Consultants.

What are the responsibilities of the Internal Sales/Business Generator?

- Using Mantra Learning Ltd’s customer record management system to carry out   telemarketing activity to existing customers.

- Timely contact of existing customers to identify new training and development   opportunities.

- Promote Mantra Learning Ltd to potential new customers and identify sales opportunities.

- Organise targeted sales appointments for field Business Improvement Consultants.

- Liaise with both internal and external key stakeholders to promote the performance of Mantra products and services.

- Monitor and reporting on activities, and provide relevant sales information.

- Accurate use of the CRM system.

- Achieve agreed sales performance targets and company behaviour ‘Key Performance Indicators’ (KPIs).

- Maintain working knowledge of Mantra Learning Ltd’s offering of training products and services.

- Working with the Marketing Manager to execute telemarketing, e-shots and marketing campaigns to potential new customers.

- Promote a ‘one team ethos’ with Mantra Learning Ltd departments delivering and administering the logistics and automotive course’s portfolio.

- Support to any other duties and projects as requested by the sales manager.

Our ideal Internal Sales/Business Generator will have the following skills & experience:

- Customer Service Qualification

- Level 2 qualification or working towards or equivalent experience.

- Sales experience, with a proven history of delivering excellent and sustainable results and working to sales objectives, targets and deadlines

- Previous experience of business-to-business sales 

- Experience of working in fast changing working environment

- Understanding of NVQ’s and Apprenticeship programme

- Relevant experience within the logistics, manufacturing, retail and automotive sectors

- Use of CRM database

- Good organisational skills with attention to detail

- Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative and be strongly pro-active.

- Highly organised, approachable and flexible.

- Highly professional / Effective team worker.

- High level of cultural awareness/sensitivity towards employees and customers.
