Job Title: Regional Training Officer

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £18,000 - £23,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Our client was established in 1986 and with nearly 30 years' experience in providing community care and support services for disabled people and educational training and employment opportunities for young adults in a work based learning environment, they have established themselves as a respected provider of high quality services.

Job Role:

To work within a small team in recruiting, developing and delivering an exciting new programme in health and social care. The programme will involve induction in to care practices, delivery of care units and functional skills. Training delivered will meet the quality standards of the company and OFSTED in line with their policies and procedures also to meet the requirements of the care certificate, care quality commission regulations and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and deliver an effective induction and training programme ensuring applicants have the required knowledge and skills required for their role
  • Identify, liaise and co-ordinate training programmes and schedules with employers and Senior Management to meet the needs of business
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of e-learning and facilitate mandatory training for all applicants as part of their induction programme ensuring they receive allocated passwords to access system.
  • Ensure applicants work towards level 1 or above in maths and English
  • Ensure training targets are monitored and achieved in accordance with scheduled programme of delivery
  • Ensure evaluation records are completed, and identify areas of improvement and develop action plans for senior management
  • To support the sign off process for potential employees who have completed Induction units by providing relevant constructive feedback supported by workplace observation
  • Audit final completion of staff induction records in line with planned targets
  • Liaise with SMT and employers to produce a workforce development plan across allocated areas.
  • Source additional training suitable to meet business needs
  • Research best practices required to meet company standards and current legislation Participate in the development of our training practices and procedures
  • Prepare reports and attend meetings as and when required
  • Liaise with quality manager to ensure company standardisation, including policies and operational templates/records are being maintained
  • Liaise with Human Resources to share best practices across regional areas
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans within the team for the training department
  • Participate in evaluation of the training department and development needs against agreed organisational goals, business, and quality objectives
  • Inform Senior Management of any changes to training required to meet legislative requirements.
  • Monitor all workforce development funding and produce monthly records
  • To work within the team to obtain knowledge of NMDS-SC System to ensure funding streams are fully utilised to enable production of quarterly reports of financial outcome across the company.

The Candidate:

Essential Requirements

  • Experience within the care sector
  • Teacher or training qualification
  • Clean manual driving license
  • Health and Social Care qualification Level 2 or above
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Health and Social Care legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Maths English and ICT Skills
  • D32 D33/A1 awards

Desirable Requirements

  • First Aid and Health and Safety qualifications
  • Safeguarding trainer qualification
  • Health and Safety qualification
  • An understanding of national and local regulatory authorities
  • Social care management experience
  • Financial awareness and business communication skills
