Multi-Skilled Engineering Supervisor – Electrical bias - central London
Multi-Skilled Engineering required Immediately for Blue Chip client of international Facilities Management & Construction Services company.
Role will be based at prestigious offices in central London/close to Waterloo/Embankment.
Please note role involves split shifts: 6.30am to 15.30pm/15.30pm to 22.30pm Mon to Fri + “on call” every 1 in 8 weeks (on call allowance)
The Role
The Multi Skilled Supervisor - Electrical Bias will deliver a combination of primarily electrical skill sets, and basic mechanical, water and building fabric planned, reactive and extra works within engineering.
Desired skills and experience:
Experience & ability to operate permit to work & work authorisation systems in line with client requirements.
Able & willing to work towards & achieve Authorised Person accreditation in field(s) of expertise is required
Operational knowledge & experience of Building Management Systems is also preferred.
Operational knowledge & experience of CFM systems is preferred.
Ability to manage a small team together with planned & reactive tasks to achieve contractual SLA's
Willing to work with site management team to drive individual performance of both yourself & others.
Willing to undertake & complete the appropriate 1 to 1 's.
Willing to complete people management activities such as sickness return to work
Willing to undertake site based activities outside of normal hours when required.
Ability to understand financial budgets & discretionary spend
Principle Accountabilities
Health, Safety and Environmental
- Direction of all H&S requirements.
- Work safely, ensuring the safety and well-being of yourself, colleagues, customers and visitors.
- Responsible for the control and issue of SSOW and change control documentation
- Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant records (paper and electronic) are completed and submitted in an accurate timely manner.
- Accountable for the operation and control of SSOW operating procedures for complex or critical infrastructure
- Ensures communication of Health and Safety alerts and Tool Box Talks to teams.
- Ensure all required personal protective equipment is utilised and worn at all appropriate times People
- Chair and participate in Team Talks and Safety Action groups.
- Delivers a customer experience in line with objectives and customer experience plans.
Delivery
- Accountable for all elements of SLA and KPI delivery
- Perform all work to specification meeting the required standards.
- Take full responsibility and ownership of all assigned tasks, carrying out skilled planned maintenance, repair and improvements.
- Install new plant and equipment when required
- Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant.
- Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings.
- Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops and storage areas.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness by identifying opportunities to reduce costs, travel and waste
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Adaptable to flexible working patterns, when required
