Our client is seeking to appoint to a new role of Financial Controller. Reporting to the Finance Director this is a broad, hands-on role responsible for the management of the finance team and the development and improvement of financial reporting systems to support effective decision-making. 

The primary aims of the post are:-

• Managing and developing financial controls and systems within the Finance department and across the College;
• Preparing, developing and analysing monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliation and other financial and reporting information;
• Providing high quality support and advice services to budget holders, managers, and other staff at the College.

You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in a senior finance role within a further education context. You will be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills with the ability to develop models, interrogate data and write analytical reports to meet the College’s business and planning needs. Strong numerical and communication skills are essential alongside an aptitude for financial systems and system structures. Experience of Open Accounts would be an advantage.

Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.
