Gas Service Engineer / Plumber (Mobile)
Salary: £27,000 - £31,000 depending on experience.
Location: Southampton

We have an immediate requirement for a Gas Service Engineer / Plumber (Mobile) to serve their growing portfolio of clients predominately covering Southampton and the surrounding postcodes. We work for a number of different blue chip insurance companies and FM partnerships.

You will be a flexible and adaptable Gas / Plumber Service Engineer (Mobile) who is able to react to client demands; whether that be covering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) or dealing with emergency call outs. You will be required to operate as part of an on call rota which will be discussed at the interview stage. (Please be aware that this will involve at least one weekend per month and 1 week per month covering evening call outs).

We expect our Gas / Plumber Service Engineer (Mobile) to have a minimum of 4 years' experience. An electrical qualification would also be desirable although not essential. If you have previous experience of working with social housing this would be advantageous.

Whilst our head office is based in Bristol, you will be predominately covering Southampton and the surrounding postcodes for which a fully expensed vehicle is provided (private use available and all vehicles are less than 3 years old). You will be provided with a company mobile phone. We are a paperless company so our engineers are expected to complete necessary paperwork using our in-house CRM database using the mobile phone device. Full training will be provided in this, although a competence in using technology through hand held devices is imperative.

Duties will include:
- Efficient Diagnosing and repairing of faults on Gas central heating boilers and systems.
- Thorough and concise Gas boiler Servicing and Landlord Safety Checks in accordance with current regulations.
- Gas boiler and system Installation work including small works and remedial.

Essential Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 4 year's Gas installation and maintenance experience.
- Plumbing Experience
- Electrical Experience would be desirable but not essential.

Successful Candidates should have:
- Strong Customer Service and communication skills.
- Motivated and able to work unsupervised.
- Can do attitude when presented with a problem or challenge.
- Eagerness to learn and adopt new ideas and technologies.
- Experienced in all areas of Gas Safety, System and Boiler Diagnostics including repair and Installation.

Applicants will need to hold a current ACS accreditation in CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1 and HTR1. A current CRB (JES would apply for one on your behalf) and a Full UK Driving license.
