JOB TITLE: Young Peoples Programme Co-ordinator
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP10.91 per hour + mileage
WORKING HOURS: 28 hours per week
THE COMPANY: Our client is the UK's leading charity supporting disabled people. For over 65 years they have supported disabled people in many different ways. The charity has a fantastic "can do" community based volunteering programme which supports young disabled people in their local community to develop their skills, provide new experiences and promote their independence by participating in a variety of projects.
THE ROLE: We are looking for a motivated, proactive and passionate Programme Co-Ordinator to be involved with, and lead the "Can do" volunteering programme in Liverpool and the surrounding areas. You will create volunteering opportunities and community based projects for young disabled people aged 16-35, enabling them to learn transferable life-skills through training and participation in community-based volunteer roles. This is a home based role reporting to Programme Manager, as client has no office in local area.

We are looking for candidates who have a good local knowledge, and who are passionate about supporting young disabled people. You will have experience of working with young people / disabled people and delivering projects .

- Support the programme to achieve positive outcomes for disabled young people in line with project plans.
- Recruit, train and manage disabled young volunteers and support volunteers in line with programme targets.
- To build relationships with local schools, colleges, disability groups and services to promote the project and recruit groups of volunteers.
- To design and develop bespoke volunteering sessions, community activities and skills development workshops.
- To organise and present at external meetings, including promotional and networking events.

- A background within a role working with young people
- Experience of delivering projects / events and building community links
- Passion, enthusiasm and a real commitment to making a difference to people's lives
- A Full UK Driving Licence with access to a motor vehicle would be highly advantageous.
- Social care / Health and social qualifications would be beneficial.
