JOB TITLE: Practice Nurse
SALARY & BENEFITS: Nurse Salary Band 5
WORKING HOURS: Part-Time, 20 hours over 4 days
THE COMPANY:
Our client is a 2 branch GP surgery who are focused on providing the highest standard of health care to their patients in Duns, Chirnside and the Berwickshire area.
Their team of GPs, nurses and administrative staff take pride in providing good quality patient-centred healthcare. They have 5 GPs who rotate through their two sites in Chirnside and Duns and strong links to the local community including managing in-patients in the community hospital and strong links with the local chemists.
They offer many clinics and services including long term chronic condition management, childhood vaccinations, minor surgery and travel clinics.
THE ROLE:
Our client is now looking to appoint a Practice Nurse to join their existing team in Duns. The ideal candidate will have a hands on approach, be a real team player with a passion for taking on and developing the role of Practice Nurse with the full support of the practice, to provided a more efficient practice, ensuring patient care is at the top of the agenda

- Cervical screening and immunisations - training will be given.
- Patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment where applicable
- Apply a hands on role model approach to your work
- Good medication management
- Contribute to the implementation of evidence based practice within the area; this work will be supported by the Service Manager

- NMC active pin
