The White Horse Care Trust is a Wiltshire-based care charity dedicated to providing a range of residential and nursing care services to adults with learning and other physical disabilities in several locations across the county.

We are now growing the team and are looking for experienced and non-experienced individuals for Carer / Support Worker vacancies, for individuals with learning disabilities to work in and around the local area of Swindon. The Trust is seeking to appoint Full-Time, Part Time and also Bank Support Workers, who are able to offer flexibility and a willingness to work weekends and Bank holidays.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in social care and to work with an organisation that is committed to transforming lives and making a difference. Previous experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, whilst beneficial, is not essential for the Support Worker role as full training will be given. Applicants must be willing to work in a respectful and patient manner, whilst understanding residents’ individual needs and promoting independence.

Full Induction and Training Packages are in place to support new staff, with the opportunity to undertake further training including the Health Care Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma.

The ideal Support Worker will possess the following skills and qualities:

- Ability to use their own initiative and work unsupervised, but also be happy to be part of the team.

- Have good verbal & written communication skills.

- Some flexibility in working hours are required as these services support clients over 24hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

- A full UK Driving Licence will be required for full time positions as these are located in rural Swindon.
