As part of our growth strategy, Energy Partners are continuing to expand their current sales force at a rapid pace and are looking to recruit additional, self-employed, Sales Account Managers to provide an introductory, B2B specialist Energy brokerage service.

Energy Partners services all business sectors including SME and larger Industrial & Commercial (I & C) business as well as multi-site group contracts. Qualifying businesses may come from all market sectors including manufacturing, retail, schools, commercial property, hotels, leisure, engineering, chemicals, foundries etc.

As Energy Partners operates Nationwide, the successful candidates can be located anywhere across the country, there are no designated territories. With the support of the Energy Partners Brokerage team, the Sales Account Manager will be working in partnership with the marketing team.


The successful Sales Account Manager will have the option to work either part time or as a full- time team member. The successful Sales Account Managers would expect by the end of the first year for their commission income to be circa £45,000 pa.

There is no limit to the amount of commission earned, the more customers you have the more commission you will earn. This would increase incrementally year on year as renewal and acquisition commissions build with their growing client portfolio.

By the end of year 3 Account Managers can expect an income of around £90,000+pa.

The Successful Sales Account Managers will have the following Roles & Key Tasks:
Identify Senior decision makers in qualifying businesses and hold high level conversations in order to identify opportunities
Follow up on their own marketing campaigns via cold calling Key Decision Makers
Overcome customer concerns and use listening and influencing skills to help the customer recognise the benefits of using Energy Partners as opposed to other brokers or other purchasing routes
Successfully sign up customers
Understanding a business structure through research and profiling techniques
Gathering business and market intelligence
Conducting monthly client progress reviews
Monthly reporting of progress against Sales targets and KPI's
Adhere at all times to a strict Code of Practice demanded by the government energy regulator Ofgem

The Successful Sales Account Manager will have gained the following Skills, Experiences & Attributes:


A strong business and financial acumen. A background in senior finance or purchasing would be advantageous
Experience of consultative sales in a B2B environment, building rapport and trust
Proven record of hitting and exceeding sales targets & KPI's
Comfortable with negotiating at director level within prospect businesses
A passion for building relationships and meeting business targets
The ability of understanding the client needs and managing the Sales & Marketing process
Ambition and tenacity
Ability to plan and manage own time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

In return the successful Sales Account Managers will receive product training and marketing support as part of their ongoing Energy Partners field support service, and as part of a distance learning programme, usually completed within two weeks.
