Physio.co.uk are a private physiotherapy practice with a portfolio of health and physiotherapy clinics located around the North West of England, based in Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.
We are looking for an experienced Sports Therapist to join our Manchester team and work in our city centre based clinics on a part time basis (two evenings a week and Sundays) to support our growing client base.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
To be successful in this role you would need to:
- Continuously provide an exceptional standard of evidence based treatments for your client base.
- Be competent in the assessment of injuries and in providing high quality treatments including massage, mobilisations, tape application and rehabilitation exercise programs to help restore normal range of motion and function.
- Possess great communication skills in order to build rapport with clients, colleagues and any other professionals you may come into contact with.
- Be comfortable working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate commitment to CPD and a natural drive to keep up to date with new treatment techniques.
- Be motivated and enthusiastic about continually developing and shaping an expanding service.
- Act as a champion for the service.
- Be willing to assist with training of junior team members and recruitment of staff where necessary.
- Have a flexible approach to work.
- Be competent using a computer.
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Recognised Bsc Hons degree in sports therapy, sports rehab, sports and exercise therapy, sports injury rehab, or other relevant degree discipline.
- Have experience in massage therapy and working with a wide range of MSK conditions.
- Have experience of delivering sports massage.
- Be a member of a professional body.
- Demonstrate evidence of CPD.
- Own liability insurance (can be arranged upon appointment).
Our ideal candidate will be a confident autonomous practitioner, who is degree educated in a relevant sports discipline and has experience of delivering treatments with a clinical emphasis including massage and sports massage.
The successful applicant will possess exceptional clinical skills, along with a strong foundation of verbal and written communication in order to facilitate the delivery of the highest quality evidence based treatment to our patients. They will be of a personable nature; working comfortably both independently and within a team, they will have a strong work ethic and will be passionate about providing the best possible service to our clients. They will be a problem solver and capable of managing a caseload of clients with a variety of differing needs.
Our ideal candidate will be a flexible worker who is highly organised and able to use their time effectively. They will be passionate about CPD and keen to develop their skills and keep up to date with new findings in the field. As a non-clinical aspect of the role will incorporate service development, the successful candidate will also need to have excellent computer skills and a good eye for detail.
