Our company client is a growing business currently seeking to recruit Digital Designer for their organization based in Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to join a widely respected brand in a period of fast paced change.
Qualifications and abilities required:
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar type of role.
* Interpretation of brief to create high quality design work for mobile, tablet and desktop
* Proven experience in an interactive design role with a portfolio of examples across digital channels - web, email, social, mobile/tablet
* Ideas-focussed with excellent conceptual skills
* Strong understanding of user-led, responsive design
* Ability to provide detailed design break-downs to component level
* Exceptional attention to detail with an eye for consistency
* Excellent working knowledge of creative design programmes including Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
* Have a thorough understanding of cross-browser and multi-device compatibility issues and best practices to support SEO and accessibility
* A great communicator who thrives working in a close-knit team
* A proactive person who can deliver to strict deadlines
* A passionate interest in design with strong awareness for current trends and a lust to grow and refine your skills
* Ability to enthusiastically share knowledge and make recommendations
* Experience working in a busy environment across multiple brands
* Strong understanding of the need for brand consistency in design execution.
Preferable competencies:
* Integrated design experience
* A working understanding of HTML and CSS and frameworks such as Bootstrap
* Experience working in a financial services environment
* Experience developing e-commerce user journeys
* Working knowledge and understanding of traditional offline design and print media e.g. press ads, inserts etc
Key duties involve the following:
* Assist in delivering digital assets across web, mobile, email, social and marketing (e.g. banners, landing pages)
* Work with the Marketing team to generate strong ideas and solutions in order to meet the team's requirements
* Deliver highly professional visual concepts illustrating ideas and recommendations
* Ensure usability, accessibility and SEO best practice standards are adhered to at all times
* Work closely with lead designer and front-end development team to ensure design integrity is retained throughout build stage
* Stay up-to-date with visual and online trends and share knowledge across the team
* Ensure all working practices and procedures adhere to business compliance.
