FINTEC recruit is looking to recruit a Data Migration Specialist for our client based in Rome. This is a full time permanent position with a salary of £50k - £60k. Our client offers mission-critical solutions to service providers around the globe. As a Data Migration Lead you will be responsible for end-to-end data migration solutions & process design for one of the key tier-1 BSS/OSS transformation programs the company is executing in Europe. You will also be working with customer business and technical teams to design and implement data migration strategy that meets client requirements as well as ensures high data quality as an outcome.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Data Migration Specialist your responsibilities will include the following:-
Provide technical thought leadership to define data migration strategy and solution design using ETL methodology
Lead technical implementation team of developers and business analysts to analyze source data from many source systems
Lead design and execution of cut over strategy for production deployment
Work closely with customer to ensure careful planning and execution of data migration activities, coordination of customer data clean-up activities with migration and overall project plan
Work closely with solution implementation team to ensure data migration strategy is aligned with target state solution design
Participate frequently in on-site visits required by the implementation plan for varying periods of time
The successful candidate for the Data Migration Specialist role will have:-
Experience in data migration projects, solution implementations and professional services in IT industry
In depth expertize in ETL process and data migration methodologyExperience in end-to-end data migration execution: from analysis and design to production deployment
Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL * Understanding of Telecommunications industry and methodologies: eTOM, SID, TAM, ITIL, etc., OSS/BSS space is a plus
Good communication skills
Relevant presentation & meeting management skills, and strong ownership and responsibility
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
