Our well established Engineering client was established in 1998 & have rapidly expanded from their beginnings in Oxfordshire to have invested in local service centres around the country, staffed by customer service orientated technical teams. They pride themselves on working closely with their customers on anything from major engineering projects, production cost reduction exercises to stores set-up and on-going stock management.

They have identified an opportunity for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join their growing team in Bicester.

The role:
As Manufacturing Manager your key responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing division, by effective management of the team and instilling a ‘Right First Time’ approach to business.
Reporting into the Company Directors, your remit will include:
• Supervise, motivate and enhance team productivity across your small team including Fabricators and a Machinist
• Ensure a continuous improvement methodology is instilled
• Management of customer quotes to deliver a fast and effective response
• Pull together component and material lists for projects
• Management of small projects/jobs to guarantee they are delivered on-time and to budget
• Conduct customer site visits when required to measure up potential projects and combine a cost estimate for sales team which you are expected to be in close

What you need:
The successful candidate will hold the relevant experiences and skills to thrive within this role:
• Demonstrable Project Management experience
• Strong people manager
• Demonstrable experience in resource and capacity planning
• Ability to use CAD / read Engineering drawings
• Exceptional ability to solve problems and produce solutions by thinking outside of your role
• Competent in writing a detailed Risk Assessment and Method Statement for all client jobs prior to commencement
• Results and quality driven with an exceptional attention to detail, positive individual with excellent communication and customer service skills
• Due to the nature of the role, a flexible approach to working hours will be essential for success
