CAD Technician

Job title: CAD Technician

Main purpose of job

To aid in the CAD drafting and drawing of architects plans and details

Relationships:

Reports to: Directors 

Liaison with: Other CAD users and MIB construction staff/directors and managers         

Main tasks of job

CAD drafting and drawing for use by MIB construction

Other Duties

·        Any duties that are required by MIB Façade’s directors

·        Attending meetings when required

Technical skills required

·        Construction knowledge and CAD drawing and drafting skills

·        Ability to convert verbal, written or drawn information into two dimensional drawings

Interpersonal skills required

·        Friendly, willing to learn and listen

·        Adaptable, resourceful with an interest in construction and drawings

·        Ability to work in a team situation and under own initiative

·        Good communication, numeracy and IT skills

·        Strong problem solving skills and desire to come up with practical solutions

·        Accuracy and attention to detail

Qualifications

·        Minimum of 4 GCSE's or equivalent

·        Construction and civils certificate

·        CAD
